In this “NAD+ Summit,” Dr. Seeds delves deeply into the functioning of NAD+ – nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, a vital coenzyme found in every living cell that acts as a critical player in energy metabolism, DNA repair, and cell signaling – it also plays a huge role in regulating SIRT genes, which can promote healthy aging.
With research showing that NAD+ levels decline with age and stress and prompting interest in supplementation, Dr. Seeds reviews NAD+ biology through a redox and mitochondrial lens, with an emphasis on how NAD+ regulation helps to shape immune activity and circadian clock regulation.
